EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION, RESEARCH, AND EVALUATION

 

The Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics and Computing (CEISMC) is a unit of the College of Lifetime Learning at Georgia Tech. Since 1991, CEISMC has served as the primary connection point between Georgia Tech and the pre-collegiate education communities. 
 
CEISMC provides inclusive and inspiring STEM/STEAM enrichment experiences in classroom and out-of-school settings. CEISMC develops an extensive array of research and implementation programs focused on multiple dimensions of STEM educational reform. CEISMC offers teacher professional development focused on innovative curricula and evidence-based practices in fields such as STEM with arts and music integration, computer science, robotics, invention and entrepreneurship.
 
These opportunities and initiatives are achieved through school and community outreach and local and sustainable partnerships that foster student success and workforce development. 
 
EXCEL, Georgia Tech's inclusive postsecondary and education opportunity housed within CEISMC, is a four-year college certificate program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. 

WINNERS ANNOUNCED FOR "A RADICAL ACT" REMIX COMPETITION

Winners announced for "A Radical Act" EarSketch remix competition.

Using EarSketch, students from across the U.S. remixed sounds from the soundtrack to the film “A Radical Act,” which follows Renee Montgomery's journey from WNBA player to Atlanta Dream co-owner. 

"MANUFACTURE YOUR MUSIC" COMPETITION WINNERS ANNOUNCED

REGISTRATION OPEN FOR EXPANDED LEARNING PROGRAMS SPRING INTO STEAM.

The EarSketch remix competition, open to Georgia students and co-sponsored by Georgia AIM, focused on the production process of manufacturing music. Winners visited with the EarSketch team in March.

HIGH SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS SOUGHT FOR HORIZONS SUMMER PROGRAM

High school volunteers sought for Horizons at Georgia Tech summer program.

The classroom assistants will help lead teachers and assistant teachers with Horizons at Georgia Tech scholars during the six weeks of summer programming, which takes place June 9-July 18.
